Nest #55 was a "wild" nest that had already hatched found by Pat Backstrom, Bob Mason and Judy Morr about 50 yards south of boardwalk 6. The nest had 107 shells, 40 unhatched eggs and 1 live hatchling.
Bob Mason and Pat Backstrom found a crawl just south of boardwalk 8.Bill Greubel probed and found nest #56. They moved the nest to higher ground south of boardwalk 6.
